Social Media Update

Through using various social media website, I have been able to update my fans throughout the process of making my music video because I have been able to let them have a say in how our video is created. Through the use of Instagram I have been uploading snippets of filming to show the target audience the range of cameras we have been using but also they can see footage that we may not necessarily use, I believe that the updates on Instagram have been effective because my audience have been following the process with us, without just seeing rough cuts that we upload. We have gained a lot of feedback through our social media and I felt like we wouldn't have received this otherwise without going out ourselves and searching for the feedback. Instagram was also a great way as it allowed us to upload to other social media websites at one time as we could link our pages together, so we was also updating our Facebook and Twitter account at the same time.

We received more feedback from our Facebook page but they could be purely down to the fact that it is more popular, we allowed ourselves to upload the same clips and images from Instagram because we didn't want certain people in our target audience not being able to see the same as everyone else. By using quirky status we engaged our audience to want to see more which allowed for our sites to be updated regularly to always have our audience enticed with our music video. When realising snippets they would comment on what they did and didn't like which then allowed us to go back and change it or edited it in a particular way that we would feel was appropriate to fit what the target audience would like. We released a page from our storyboard and when our audience saw this they were able to have their first insight into our video, and we received feedback before we had even started filming. It was highly beneficial to use social media and constantly update because it allowed for us to use modern day technology to our advantage and it demonstrated that we could do as our audience wanted.
